The Japanese born, chart topping pianist, composer and humanitarian Keiko Matsui took her first piano lesson at five. The album, she made her US recording debut with, was released in 1987. Since then, she has sold way over a million and a half albums and continues to sell out concerts across the globe. Her unique melting pot of musical influences have garnered her a devout international following. Being a world citizen, she has always wanted to transcend borders and build bridges among people who share an appreciation of honest artistry and cultural exchange. And there is a reason why the stunning, soft-spoken, and petite powerhouse with such a commanding presence at the piano has amassed such a following. “When I tour around the world and witness how my music cuts through our differences and connects everyone, it makes me feel euphoric!” exclaims Keiko who harnesses this joy on her latest and 30th recording “Euphoria“. She enlists an all-star contingency of special guests including Lalah Hathaway, Randy Brecker, Mike Stern, Kirk Whalum, Joel Ross, Grégoire Maret and John Beasley. “At the core of this album is beauty, strength, energy, love, and hope. These are all the things in life that we need to move forward on a new path. This music is dedicated to a new era”, declares Keiko.
